The company
Formed in 1999, 2FaCeD DaNcE is the company in residence at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts, Hereford. 2004 saw the Youth Company visit The Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time and receive a wealth of critical acclaim as well as achieving sell out performances. In 2005 the Youth Company scooped up an abundance of 5 star reviews as well as winning Pick of the Fringe. The company have since performed at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Lisbon, Medium Rare Variety in London, Breakin Convention, and at numerous corporate and educational events. In 2007 the professional company was established and they performed State of Matter to sell out audiences in Edinburgh and at other national venues. In 2008 they performed the acclaimed site-specific piece Watch This Space! at the Birmingham International Dance Festival, alongside Hofesh Shechter Dance Company.
2FaCeD will next perform State of Matter in 24 theatres across the UK in the autumn after performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. At the heart of the company lies its strong belief in education through dance. The company runs extensive education programmes throughout Herefordshire as well working in a range of schools, colleges and arts centres across the UK.
