MOVES TO Succeed

DANCE CONFERENCE - 1/07/10

2Faced Dance Company and Herefordshire Council join forces to present a one day dance education conference featuring practical w.shops, guest performances and lectures. The conference will celebrate ‘MOVES to Succeed’ a dance project developed by Herefordshire Council to help children with challenging behaviour to develop coping strategies for the classroom. Supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, four Primary Schools in Herefordshire have participated in this programme.


• The conference AIMS to provide a day that actively promotes a variety of creative approaches that can be used in or out of the classroom
• Give you a range of tips and tools that can be taken away with you and used in your own practice
• To give you the opportunity to discuss and debate the place of dance within the curriculum and to provide networking opportunities

The day which includes a choice of 2 workshops, guest speakers of national repute, funding advice and performances by 2Faced Dance Company and by the schools who have participated in Moves to Succeed costs just £75.00 including lunch and coffee.

2FaCeD DaNcE Company are renowned for their high energy, fun, creative, challenging yet achievable workshops.  Workshops can explore technical and performance elements of a specific dance style, encourage creativity and understanding with choreography or can be based on the athletic yet graceful 2FaCeD Style

week long residencies, after school clubs, curtain raisers and inset sessions are also available.

All workshops offer the participants the chance to learn new and challenging moves in a safe environment, explore their own creativity and engage positively with others whilst learning in a fun environment.  2FaCeD workshops are suitable for those aged 7yrs+ and will be tailored to suit the experience levels of the specific group and age. Primary subjects, g.c.s.e, a-level and btec elements also catered for.
